If the answer you require is not on this page please contact us and ask your question to our friendly staff. We would be more than happy to give you any information you require.

Q. How do I pay for the lessons/course?

A. You can make the payment by a number of methods including VISA, Mastercard or using PayPal credits. Its quite simple, just follow the prompts on the Purchase the Course page.

Q. If I have a problem with downloading a lesson/course or I lose a lesson/course  because of technical problems will I have to pay for it a second time?

A.
Every student will be able to receive a second copy for each lesson/course without having to pay for it providing there has been a technical problem. All you need to do is contact us and let us know what has happened. We will then assess the situation and if necessary we will email a copy of the lesson to the student for free.

Q. Will it cost very much to make my own medicines?

A.
You will have most of the equipment you need in your kitchen and you can grow most of your own herbs, however, they aren’t very expensive to buy so it should only be a minimal cost to make your own remedies.

Q. Will I save money on medical bills if I do The Home Herbalist course?

A. Yes, you will save a considerable amount of money because you will be able to treat yourself and your family for a large number of conditions using herbal remedies you’ve made yourself. Even if you have to purchase ready made herbal remedies you will still have considerable savings.

Q. Is The Home Herbalist course difficult to do?

A.
No, it’s not difficult at all. Although the course is very thorough it has been designed in such a way that the text is easily understood and there are diagrams explaining the content where necessary. However, if the student is having difficulty in understanding anything they can email the tutor for help. The Home Herbalist staff is dedicated to the teaching of home herbalism so the student will have support whenever it is needed.

Q. What qualification does The Home Herbalist certificate course offer?

A. The certificate students receive after completion of this herbalist course is a certificate of competency in home herbalism, which means they are qualified in home herbalism to treat themselves, their families, and pets for many common conditions.  The certificate, as with many other certificates does not give students the qualification needed to be a practitioner of herbal medicine, medical herbalist or any other professional modality. However, much of the course content is what is taught to students studying to be a professional herbalist.

Q. Does The Home Herbalist certificate course lead to a diploma or degree in medical or professional herbalism?

A. Should those who complete The Home Herbalist course decide to further their studies to become a professional herbalist, the institute they choose may consider the course as recognized prior learning but in doing so they would need to see the full course content and make an assessment.

Q. I live in England so would I have any problems paying for the course?

A. No, you won’t have any problems at all, just follow the instructions and pay in your own currency.

Q. I would like to take part in The Home Herbalist course, but I don't have a credit card, Pay Pal account or cheque facilities. Is there another way I can pay?

A. We do accept postal orders and bank cheques providing they are in Australian dollars. If you would like to purchase the lessons this way contact us with your details and we will provide you with the necessary instructions.

Q. I am interested in doing this course with you but could you tell me how much it would cost in Euro's or British pounds please?

A. If you would like to convert Australian dollars to your currency please go to http://www.commbank.com.au/tools/fxcalc.htm

Q. What opportunities are there during the courses for feedback/interaction with the tutor or is it simply a one-way interaction, i.e. students are sent the course material?

A. The course tutor encourages interaction with students by email or phone and that can be as little or as often as they choose and it’s included in the course fees.

Q. I've just purchased a short course but I've now looked at your full course and think I should have gone for that instead. Is it possible to get my $250 credited towards the full course and I'll pay the remainder owing straight away?

A. Yes it is possible to credit what you've already paid towards the full course provided the short course hasn't been emailed to you in the meantime. Just contact us for instructions on how to pay the balance.

Q. Do I receive the complete short course once I have paid the fee or do you send out individual lessons at regular intervals?

A. The short courses are emailed in full to students after payment has been received and the The Home Herbalist course is usually sent one lesson at a time with the following lesson being sent after the previous lesson's assignment has been marked. However, students can request to receive more than one lesson at a time or the full course at once.
