The Home Herbalist course is an online certificate course in the practice of herbal medicine for the home. There are twelve lessons with a total of more than 270 pages written by the tutor and practicing medical herbalist, Belle Gibbons.
Learn all aspects of home herbalism including how professional herbalists make remedies from medicinal herbs and apply them to common conditions. A description of this herbalism course can be found here.
The course also applies to massage therapists, pharmacy assistants, health food store assistants, nurses, and all those whose clients would benefit from their knowledge of herbal medicine.
Your Course Includes: More than 270 pages of in-depth study material (value – $175.00); up to twelve hours of tutoring by our medical herbalist/course author including marking assignments (see assignments) and answering student questions by email/phone (value – $1,200.00), and a certificate, either emailed or posted on completion of the course.

Delivery: If you choose payment option one or two you will be able to download the course or part one or two as soon as you have paid the fee. There’s no waiting for it to come in the mail, instead you can begin studying immediately after the download.
Duration: The duration of the course is twelve months. Ideally, it should take one month to complete each lesson however, you can study in your own time and finish as soon as you wish. If the duration of your studies exceeds twelve months you may apply for an extension but please note the maximum extension is six months. We recommend that you study the lessons well and complete the projects before doing each assignment.

Examinations: There are no examinations, however, there are assignments to be completed – one at the end of each lesson.
Assignments: There are twelve assignments to be completed successfully before the certificate is issued. These do not contain multiple choice answers, instead they are a teaching tool and are used for student/tutor interaction and discussion.
Completion: An attractive ‘Home Herbalist’ certificate will be emailed to you after you have successfully completed all of the lessons and assignments.
